EDITOR'S NOTE: Tyre News first reported on Triangle's EnsureX technology in January 2025. Triangle has now issued the following official press release with additional technical details and confirmation of the technology's commercial deployment.
Triangle Tyre has officially confirmed the commercial launch of its EnsureX Efficient Technology, with the first production batch now shipped from the company's Huasheng plant via Qingdao Port to the Deo Nai coal mine in Quang Ninh Province, Vietnam.
The technology, which Tyre News first reported in January, has been developed over a three-year period specifically to address delamination challenges in giant OTR tires operating under extreme conditions.
According to Jeremy Liu, Director of Triangle OTR and Jumbo R&D Center, "The application of this technology reduces delamination-related failures by more than 95% and increases tire service life by over 15% compared with previous designs."
The EnsureX Efficient Technology is based on a cobalt-free bonding formulation combined with a multi-alloy coated steel-cord adhesion system. Key technical benefits include:
The technology has been applied to 49-inch and 57-inch giant OTR tire ranges, which have completed on-site testing in mining operations. Triangle reports that the solution is particularly effective in regions with hot and humid climates, where open-pit lignite mines operate under demanding conditions including high ambient temperatures, prolonged rainy seasons, and elevated humidity levels.

Triangle Tyre has introduced its EnsureX Efficient Technology, a new bonding protection system designed to address one of the mining industry's most costly challenges: premature tyre delamination in off-the-road (OTR) applications.
The technology has been developed specifically for extreme operating environments typified by sites such as the Deo Nai coal mine in Vietnam's Quang Ninh province, where intense heat, persistent humidity and abrasive lignite terrain have historically caused accelerated tyre ageing and structural failures.
At the heart of EnsureX lies what Triangle describes as a material science breakthrough addressing adhesion failure between rubber polymers and steel cords under heavy loads and challenging conditions. The system employs an ultra-high-performance cobalt-free bonding compound combined with gradient adhesion-layer distribution.
According to the manufacturer, this approach delivers performance improvements across three critical areas: superior fatigue resistance to withstand constant deformation cycles, enhanced ageing resistance providing more than 40 per cent improvement in adhesion strength, and extended corrosion protection for harsh climate conditions.
Triangle reports that field testing on 49-inch and 57-inch tyre series has yielded substantial operational benefits. The technology functions as what the company terms a "resilient mechanical anchor" within the tyre structure, securing each steel cord more thoroughly to create a more integrated assembly.
The manufacturer claims the engineering advancement has reduced delamination failures by over 95 per cent whilst extending overall tyre service life by more than 15 per cent in test applications. These improvements directly target the expensive problem of premature tyre scrapping in mining operations.
The launch of EnsureX represents Triangle's latest push into the high-performance OTR segment, where durability and reliability remain paramount concerns for operators managing costly downtime and replacement cycles. The technology is now available for deployment across Triangle's giant OTR tyre range.
