Rebecca Shedden has been appointed to the newly created position of General Sales Manager, Commercial Tyres UK & Ireland, bringing together previously separate truck and commercial specialty tyre sales teams under unified leadership.

The reorganisation also sees Grant Willman, currently Sales Director Truck UK & Ireland, expand his responsibilities to encompass Commercial Specialty Tyres. His role will now be Sales Director Commercial Tyres UK & Ireland, reflecting a broader remit across Continental's complete commercial portfolio.

Extensive Industry Experience

Shedden brings considerable expertise to the position, having spent 27 years with Continental across various commercial roles. Her career encompasses truck, fleet and commercial specialty tyres, during which she has developed deep market knowledge and established a strong reputation for cultivating long-term customer partnerships.

Most recently, she has led Continental's Commercial Specialty Tyres business in the UK and Ireland, working closely with customers in highly technical and demanding sectors, including earthmover and port applications.

Strategic Integration

In her new role, Shedden will be responsible for driving sales strategy and performance across the full Commercial Tyres portfolio whilst creating stronger synergies between truck and specialty tyre operations. A key priority will be strengthening customer relationships, understanding evolving requirements and delivering tailored solutions that enhance the overall customer experience.

The newly created structure is designed to strengthen collaboration across the business and enable Continental to deliver greater value to its customers by combining expertise from both divisions.

Leadership Response

Commenting on her appointment, Shedden said: "After nearly three decades with Continental, I'm incredibly proud to take on this new role. Bringing these teams together presents us with a fantastic opportunity to provide even better service to our customers."

Willman added: "This new structure is a significant step forward for our Commercial Tyres business. Combining our team's expertise and knowledge means we can take advantage of our combined strengths and deliver greater value to customers. Rebecca's experience, energy and customer-first approach make her ideally suited to lead this next phase of development."

The restructuring reflects Continental's commitment to operational excellence and customer-focused service delivery in the competitive UK and Ireland commercial tyre market.
