Tesla’s official imagery of its new Roadster shows the electric sports car fitted with Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS tyres, with Elect branding visible on the sidewall.

An exterior close-up, clearly displays the tyre manufacturer’s name, product designation and Elect marking. TAO links the exterior images to Tesla’s Roadster announcement on X.

The images accompanied the Roadster’s October reveal, which included a prototype performing airborne manoeuvres using compressed-air thrusters.

The tyre identification applies to the pictured vehicle that the prototype used for the stunts differed from the car driven on stage, with visibly different wheels. The Pirelli close-up therefore does not establish which tyres were used during the airborne demonstration.

Pirelli describes the P Zero Trofeo RS as a road-approved tyre developed for track performance, using materials and technology drawn from its motorsport experience.

The Elect sidewall marking identifies tyres developed for the technical requirements of electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, according to Pirelli. Its appearance on the photographed Roadster identifies an electrification-specific tyre specification, without establishing a production supply agreement.
