Halfords Autocentres like-for-like sales rose 6.1%, excluding Avayler, as the group maintained its annual profit outlook.

Halfords has reported a 6.1% increase in Autocentres like-for-like sales, excluding Avayler, for the 26 weeks to 2 October 2026.

The Autocentres performance contributed to group like-for-like sales growth of 7.1%. Halfords maintained its forecast for FY27 underlying profit before tax of £55 million to £65 million, following an upgrade announced in August.

In its trading update published on 21 October, the company also reported retail like-for-like growth of 7.7%. Within retail, motoring sales increased by 7.3% and cycling by 8.3%. The retail motoring figures are reported separately from Autocentres.

Halfords attributed first-half trading to progress against its strategic priorities and strong summer demand for seasonal products. The update did not provide a separate tyre sales figure.

The group expects underlying profit before tax to be weighted towards the first half, reflecting its trading performance and accelerated investment in marketing and technology during the second half.

Halfords is scheduled to publish its interim results on 26 November 2026.
