The unit converts standard CEE Commando sockets into fast AC charging points, giving service teams flexible, high-power charging without permanent installations or landlord approvals. EVIRA delivers up to 10× the speed of a standard 3-pin “granny” charger, with a ceiling of 22 kW where supply allows. Cord offers four configurations, including a Multi-Power model (2.3 kW–22 kW) with interchangeable 3-pin and CEE plugs, plus fixed 22 kW (three-phase 32 A), 11 kW (single-phase 16 A) and 7.4 kW options. A 10 m tethered Type 2 cable supports bay-to-bay use. Weather and impact protection are rated to IP65 and IK10, while operating temperatures span −25 °C to +40 °C.
Technicians can set current from 8 A to 32 A, apply a delay-start timer and use a set-charge-amount mode by kWh or time. A built-in LCD displays voltage, current, power, energy and elapsed time, giving clear, auditable data during diagnostics or top-ups. Cord says the unit is designed for frequent moves between bays and outdoor use on forecourts and compounds.
EVIRA integrates protection against overcurrent, temperature, voltage fluctuations, AC/DC leakage and surges. Cord states the product complies with BS 7671:2018 wiring regulations for EV charging installations, aligning with installer expectations under the current 18th Edition.
Many UK locations still lack convenient rapid charging, especially where fixed infrastructure is costly or slow to permit.
