GRI has named Eldo Verhaagen as its new Sales and Operations Director for Material Handling and Agriculture across the Benelux region, signalling the company’s commitment to strengthening its regional presence and deepening customer relationships.
Global tyre manufacturer GRI has announced the appointment of Eldo Verhaagen to lead its material handling and agricultural tyre operations across Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg. The move forms part of a broader strategic push to enhance operational efficiency and build on GRI’s growing footprint in the Benelux market.
Verhaagen brings extensive experience in the tyre and automotive industries, with a track record of driving commercial performance and refining operational processes. His expertise spans a wide range of tyre applications, including trucking, agriculture, construction and material handling, making him well placed to lead GRI’s regional growth ambitions.
Alongside his technical knowledge, Verhaagen is recognised for a direct, customer-focused approach that aligns with GRI’s priorities as it enters a new phase of development in the region.
Verhaagen takes over from Herman Klumpenaar, whom GRI has acknowledged for his leadership and for ensuring a smooth handover. The Benelux team will now work closely alongside Verhaagen as the company seeks to sustain regional progress and achieve long-term, steady growth.
Giorgio Gramegna, Director of Europe, Sales, Marketing and Distribution at GRI, commented: “We thank Herman for his leadership and contribution over the years. We are pleased to welcome Eldo and are confident that his experience and market knowledge will further strengthen our presence and performance in the Benelux region.”
The appointment reflects GRI’s ongoing investment in its European leadership structure. With both the material handling and agriculture sectors continuing to evolve, Verhaagen’s arrival is intended to position GRI competitively and ensure the company remains responsive to the needs of its Benelux customers.
GRI is a specialist manufacturer of off-highway tyres, supplying products for agricultural, industrial and construction applications to markets around the world.
