Trimax Tire used this week’s SEMA Show in Las Vegas to unveil Chinhoo, a private brand positioned for the North American market. The initial range spans 295 sizes across summer, all-season UHP, PCR and LTR applications. The company says Chinhoo arrives as retailers seek dependable value options during a volatile tariff and freight backdrop.
Trimax lists summer (15 sizes, 17 to 22 inches), all-season UHP (65 sizes, 16 to 20 inches), HP-PCR/SUV (57 sizes, 14 to 24 inches), HT-PCR/LTR (42 sizes, 15 to 20 inches), AT-PCR/LTR (78 sizes, 15 to 24 inches), RT-LTR (27 sizes, 17 to 24 inches) and MT-LTR (11 sizes, 16 to 22 inches). That totals 295 size options scheduled to debut in 2025. The Chinhoo range is displayed at SEMA booth 43211 in the lower South Hall.
Trimax Tire has imported tyres primarily from China since 2014 and already represents Haida, MileKing, ANSU, Farroad Kapsen, Opals and Saferich in North America. A Trimax spokesperson said the company is “excited to introduce the Chinhoo Tire brand to North America, positioned as a quality value tire”. The firm says the line is aimed at retailers balancing price points with reliable availability.
Import dynamics have shifted through 2025, with new and layered duties reshaping sourcing and pricing. Recent Tyre News coverage explains how US tyre tariffs from May 2025 are affecting supply chains and costs for budget segments, which is prompting distributors to diversify brand portfolios. For context, see Tyre News analysis on the return of US tyre duties in 2025 and market commentary from SEMA week including ZC Rubber’s expanded North American portfolio.
SEMA 2025 has seen multiple launches across passenger, EV and off-road segments. Tyre News reported technology and product debuts that point to renewed competition in North American replacement channels. This backdrop sets the stage for Chinhoo as another option for dealers seeking breadth across PCR and LTR fitments.
The company indicates phased roll-out by application, with UHP and all-terrain lines expected to anchor early shipments. “Our goal is to give dealers breadth across core sizes from 14 to 24 inches, with clear value positioning,” a Trimax official said. Trimax adds that Chinhoo will complement, not replace, existing distributed brands.
The US trade environment remains fluid. For official tariff actions, the Office of the United States Trade Representative has outlined recent modifications to China-related measures, providing the regulatory backdrop that influences import planning for value-tier tyres. Trimax says it has structured Chinhoo to mitigate supply swings through multiple plant sources and staggered size introductions.
