Austone and Fortune Tires—two commercial tyre brands under PRINX Chengshan, have announced a joint sponsorship agreement with Garret Trucksport, entering the Goodyear FIA European Truck Racing Championship from 2025. The three-year deal strengthens the brands’ visibility across Europe’s heavy vehicle sector and supports British driver Luke Garret as he builds his career on the international stage.
The sponsorship deal, signed on 28 April in London, will see Austone and Fortune Tires become the official backers of Garret Trucksport for the next three seasons. Led by driver and team owner Luke Garret—a three-time British champion and son of racing veteran Ross Garret—the team is entering its second full campaign in the European series.
Luke Garret’s 2024 debut in the championship marked a promising start, positioning the British team as a credible contender. The partnership offers both tyre brands an opportunity to align with a rising name in European motorsport while showcasing their products under demanding conditions.
The sponsorship package includes financial support and a fixed tyre supply for Garret Trucksport. More importantly, it signals a strategic push by PRINX Chengshan to raise brand awareness across Europe’s commercial vehicle market. According to Managing Director Thomas Wohlgemuth, the move reflects parallels between the two brands’ ambitions and the Garret team's underdog spirit.
Sales Director Adrian Costache also highlights the commercial value of motorsport exposure: “A strong presence in truck racing gives our B2B partners a huge advantage in sales.” The 2025 season will be the first time Austone and Fortune Tires engage directly with end users at this scale, leveraging live events to connect with both spectators and fleet operators.
Despite initial perceptions, sustainability is becoming integral to the European Truck Racing Championship. Since 2023, the series has required all participating vehicles to run on HVO100—a synthetic diesel fuel derived from renewable sources. This switch reduces CO₂ emissions by up to 90%, aligning well with Austone and Fortune’s environmental goals.
In another sustainability move, tyres used in the series are retreaded and repurposed for regular road transport after each race. PRINX Chengshan’s own retread-compatible casings and new products like the RINGTREAD RTH 155 reflect this circular approach, offering extended lifecycle solutions for truck fleets.
This partnership underlines a growing trend: commercial tyre brands are seeking visibility through motorsport while maintaining a focus on sustainability and product performance. With HVO-powered engines and mandatory retreading, the FIA European Truck Racing Championship provides a unique platform where eco-conscious design meets real-world durability. For tyre makers like Austone and Fortune, aligning with this format offers both exposure and technical validation—particularly in competitive B2B markets like fleet and haulage.
