Smart tyre sensors from Pirelli to equip next-gen Aston Martin cars.

Aston Martin will integrate Pirelli Cyber Tyre across forthcoming models, adding intelligent, in-tyre sensors that transmit real-time data to the car’s control systems. Developed with Bosch Engineering, the setup feeds pressure, temperature and other parameters to the ECU to fine-tune grip, braking and stability functions on the move. The partnership was confirmed on 11 September 2025, with initial applications expected on future performance line-ups.

Pirelli Cyber Tyre places sensors inside the tyre’s inner tread, with readings processed by Pirelli algorithms and shared to the vehicle’s ECU. That data helps optimise ABS, ESP and traction control responses, improving consistency as conditions change. According to the announcement, Cyber Tyre will be fully integrated into Aston Martin’s electronic architecture via collaboration with Bosch Engineering.

“Both Aston Martin and Pirelli are dedicated to creating incredible ultra-luxury performance sports cars and the addition of Pirelli’s Cyber™ Tyre system is a further technology step enabling Aston Martin’s class-leading performance,” Pirelli said in its 11 September statement.

What’s new compared with current monitoring

Most cars already use TPMS sensors mounted on the valve or rim. Pirelli Cyber Tyre advances this by embedding sensors within the tyre itself and pairing them with software that interprets tyre behaviour, not just pressure. This richer signal can inform active chassis systems and driver information—beyond simple warnings—under acceleration, heavy braking or cold-weather running.
