Hankook Expands iON Visibility at Everything Electric UK

Hankook Tire is expanding its UK EV tyre activity by taking headline sponsorship of all three Everything Electric UK events in 2026. The programme covers shows in North Yorkshire, Gloucestershire and Greater London, giving the company a wider platform for its iON range as tyre makers compete for visibility in the electric vehicle market.

A wider UK platform for iON

Everything Electric, organised by Fully Charged, brings together electric vehicles, home energy, charging and clean technology for trade and consumer audiences. Hankook supported the event in 2024 and became headline sponsor for the 2025 Farnborough show, which Tyre News covered in its report on Hankook iON becoming headline sponsor for Everything Electric 2025.

For 2026, Hankook is extending that role across Everything Electric North, West and Greater London. The North event took place at the Great Yorkshire Event Centre on 8–9 May. The West event is scheduled for Cheltenham Racecourse on 12–13 June, while the Greater London show will run at Allianz Stadium, Twickenham, on 11–12 September.

The organiser has positioned the 2026 series as a regional expansion of its UK format. Dan Caesar, chief executive of Fully Charged SHOW, said Hankook was “stepping up to be Headline Partner for all of our UK events in 2026”.

EV tyres move closer to buyers

At the shows, Hankook will present products from its iON range, including the iON evo, iON GT and iON FlexClimate. The company says the tyres are developed around EV requirements such as higher vehicle weight, rolling resistance and cabin noise.

That message has become more important as EV tyres move from a technical niche into mainstream replacement demand. Tyre News recently reported on Hankook marking 85 years with European growth in focus, including the iON GT’s role in the company’s EV tyre development.

The iON evo also has recent UK relevance. Tyre News reported that the tyre retained Electric Car Tyre of the Year at the WhatTyre Awards 2025, giving Hankook a useful performance reference point as it promotes the range to drivers and retailers.

Formula E link remains central

Hankook is also expected to highlight its tyre supply role in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship. The iON name is used across both road and motorsport applications, giving the manufacturer a clear link between public EV events and race-derived tyre messaging.

Tyre News has previously covered that connection through Hankook’s iON evo Formula E Edition for the Tesla Model Y, which brought visual and technical references from Formula E tyres into a road product.

For the tyre trade, the sponsorship points to a broader shift in how manufacturers are building EV tyre awareness. Event activity is no longer only about brand presence. It also gives manufacturers a route to explain load capacity, efficiency, noise and all-season performance to buyers before replacement decisions reach the workshop or retail counter.
