Apollo Tyres has renewed its role as Official Tyre Partner of the 1000 Miglia through 2027, marking a decade of collaboration with the iconic Italian rally.
The renewed deal secures continued brand visibility for Apollo's premium Vredestein tyre line at the historic event and its affiliated experiences, such as the Coppa delle Alpi and the 1000 Miglia Experience Italy. The extension aligns with the event's centenary commemorations, reinforcing the tyre maker's commitment to the classic car sector.
In a parallel announcement, Apollo confirmed that Giancarlo Fisichella will remain a Vredestein brand ambassador until August 2026. The three-time Formula 1 Grand Prix winner has contributed to product development since 2024, notably with the Ultrac Pro performance tyre.
Fisichella is set to participate in the 41st running of the 1000 Miglia from 17-21 June 2024, driving a Fiat 1100/103 TV Berlina equipped with Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres. The vehicle and tyre combination highlights the blend of period-accurate design and modern technology.
Over 300 vintage cars built before 1957 will compete in this year's 1,000-mile route between Brescia and Rome. Strict eligibility rules ensure authenticity, with only models from the original 1927-1957 race period allowed to participate.
Vredestein's Sprint Classic remains a preferred choice among entrants. The tyre combines vintage styling with present-day safety and performance features, such as enhanced grip, ride comfort, and reduced road noise. This product focus supports Apollo's strategy to position Vredestein as a leading brand for classic motoring enthusiasts.
As classic vehicle events grow in prestige, the demand for tyres that preserve original aesthetics while offering modern safety continues to rise. Vredestein's Classic line illustrates how tyre innovation can bridge tradition and technology.
