Triangle Adds Heavy-Duty OTR Tyres for Mining, Quarry and Construction

Following its showcase at Bauma 2025, Triangle Tyre has announced a significant expansion of its off-the-road (OTR) portfolio, with new products targeting quarrying, mining, and construction sectors. The second-half 2025 rollout includes expanded fitments for loaders, articulated and rigid dump trucks, and the introduction of new Giant/Jumbo tyre options for ultra-heavy payloads.

New OTR Sizes for Key Off-Road Applications

Triangle’s 2025 product line features several additions designed for mixed and severe-duty environments:

TB516 PRO E3/L3: Two new sizes 23.5R25 and 29.5R25, will be introduced to this non-directional tread range. Suited for use on sand and aggregate surfaces, the tyres offer dual marking for loader and ADT applications.

TL538 PRO E4/L4: Available in sizes 23.5R25, 26.5R25, and 29.5R25, this tyre features deeper tread blocks and improved carcass protection. It offers higher durability and grip for rock and quarry environments.

TL559S L5: Two additional sizes 17.5R25 and 18.00R25, enhance the L5 portfolio. The tyres are engineered with cut-resistant compounds, reinforced casing, and buttressed shoulders for abrasive terrain.

TB516 PRO for Rigid Dump Trucks: A new 18.00R25 fitment will target quarry fleets, offering a 150-level tread depth for improved traction and long wear life.

“We are seeing tangible improvements in tyre life and site productivity thanks to a focused strategic approach to tyre management,” said Luca Mai, OTR Director Europe at Triangle Tyre. “End users are enjoying the benefits of changes in tyre policy that have extended the lifespan of tyres on their machines, significantly boosting productivity at their sites.”

Giant/Jumbo Tyres Target Ultra-Heavy Load Segments

Triangle is also reinforcing its position in the large radial OTR segment with new mining tyre solutions built for high TKPH operations and rigid dump trucks with capacities up to 300 tonnes.

New Launches:

  • 27.00R49 TB599 PRO
  • 46/90R57 TB599 A PLUS
  • 50/80R57 TB599 A PLUS
  • 46/90R57 TB999A

These tyres are intended for use in coal, copper, and oil sands mines, with structural enhancements that support high-load endurance, improved heat dissipation, and long tread life.

“Our investment in cutting-edge products ensures that we can serve customers with a complete, high-quality range backed by expert service and support,” added Mai. “These new products are a direct response to our customers’ need for durable, high-performance solutions that reduce downtime and operating costs in harsh environments.”

Focus on Lifecycle Efficiency and Customer Demands

According to Luca Mai, OTR Director Europe at Triangle Tyre, the development of these new products is tied directly to end-user feedback on tyre performance and site productivity. Customers have reported extended tyre lifespans and improved operational uptime following changes in tyre policy and management strategy.

With these updates, the company is positioning itself more strongly in sectors where lifecycle performance, payload tolerance, and compound resilience are critical for fleet efficiency. These launches align with broader trends in sustainable operations and strategic tyre management across global off-road industries.
