Thinkcar has introduced two AI-enabled diagnostic devices for workshops, the THINKTOOL Euro 399 and Euro 394, in the UK market. The systems use built-in AI to scan vehicles, explain fault codes in plain language and guide technicians through repairs. Both run on the Thinkcar operating system and add full-system diagnostics, coding, actuations and bi-directional control. The 399 also supports dual-vehicle diagnostics and wider coverage.
The Euro 399 and 394 bring AI-assisted workflows to common diagnostic tasks. The software scans whole vehicles, translates fault codes and offers step-by-step guidance for many systems. Coverage improves over time as the AI learns from aggregate user data.
The Euro 394 supports passenger cars, electric vehicles and commercial vehicles. The Euro 399 adds HGV coverage and enhanced EV software for deeper high-voltage diagnostics.
Thinkcar includes two years of free software updates for passenger cars on both tools. Technicians can access a live remote programming network and remote support diagnostics delivered by trained specialists.
“By leveraging these advanced features, workshops are empowered to stay ahead of the curve in the industry and confidently tackle the complexities of modern-day vehicle diagnostics. This commitment to AI-driven solutions ensures that we can streamline complex tasks, perform precise repairs and ultimately help technicians to reduce vehicle downtime and enhance their workshop efficiency,” said Alex Gillbanks, Owner of Thinkcar UK.
Growing on-vehicle complexity is reshaping service menus across UK fast-fit and independent networks, with more sites adding diagnostics, ADAS calibration and EV servicing. Recent network expansions and training initiatives reflect this shift.
