Oak Tyres scales operations and platform as demand shifts to broader, budget-focused tyre offering

As UK tyre buyers adjust to economic pressures and digital preferences, Oak Tyres is investing in infrastructure and technology to meet demand. The North West-based wholesaler, with over four decades in the industry, has opened its seventh distribution centre and significantly enhanced its digital ordering platform, Oak Portal.

Responding to shifting demand with wider brand coverage

Rising living costs and economic uncertainty have led to a marked shift in demand toward budget and sub-premium tyre segments. Oak Tyres has responded by expanding its product portfolio to include a range of brands across passenger, SUV, van, and speciality tyre categories.

Its exclusive and distributed brands now include:

  • Davanti
  • Landsail
  • Evergreen
  • Delinte
  • Aptany
  • Linglong
  • Envoy (Oak’s newest proprietary brand)

The launch of Envoy in 2024 builds on the success of Davanti, offering value-focused tyres developed and tested in Europe. Envoy is manufactured in a smart factory and designed to meet EU standards, providing Oak with a new in-house brand for price-conscious markets.

New Warrington warehouse expands delivery capability

To support this expanded portfolio, Oak Tyres has opened a 90,000 sq ft warehouse in Warrington, its largest to date. This site brings its total warehousing space to over 700,000 sq ft, housing around 900,000 tyres across seven UK sites.

The new distribution centre strengthens Oak’s regional supply capabilities, helping maintain rapid delivery services to garages and retailers across the North West and beyond.

Digital investment supports trade customers

Alongside physical growth, Oak Tyres is advancing its online wholesale platform. The Oak Portal now includes:

  • SmartSearch tools for faster and more precise tyre searches
  • Improved product listings with enhanced technical data
  • Tools for account and order management, stock tracking, and rewards

The platform also includes a new ‘Tyre Store’ section aimed at garages sourcing specialist tyres for ATV, trailer, turf, and implement use. This section offers detailed catalogues and easy-to-use navigation to streamline ordering.

These digital upgrades are central to maintaining high service levels, particularly as tyres become more vehicle-specific and OE-focused.

Oak Tyres’ dual focus on infrastructure and digital integration reflects a broader trend in tyre wholesale: blending stock scalability with tech-driven service. As more garages rely on real-time stock visibility and data-led purchasing, platforms like Oak Portal will be key to maintaining relevance in a cost-conscious, efficiency-driven marketplace.
