Mitas and Halfords Commercial Fleet Services will present a range of agricultural tyre solutions at the Royal Norfolk Show 2026 in Norwich. The display will focus on high-horsepower tractors, trailers and implements, with soil protection and load capacity central to the line-up.

A regional platform for farm tyre technology

The Royal Norfolk Show takes place on 24 and 25 June 2026 at the Norfolk Showground. The organiser describes it as the UK’s largest two-day agricultural show, with more than 700 trade stands and a programme covering farming, food and rural innovation.

For Mitas and HCFS, the event offers direct access to farmers and contractors facing heavier machinery, tighter operating windows and growing pressure to limit soil damage. Those pressures are increasingly shaping tyre specification in the agricultural sector.

GRANTERRA leads the display

The main exhibit will be the new VF 710/75R42 GRANTERRA. Mitas says this is the first size in its new tyre range for high-horsepower tractors. The tyre uses VF PFO technology, a new tread pattern and reinforced carcass construction.

Mitas says the design has been developed to improve traction and stability while reducing soil compaction. In practice, that places the tyre in the same operational area as other VF products aimed at carrying heavier loads at lower inflation pressures.

The line-up also includes the VF 480/80R46 HC2000. This tyre targets high-performance tractors and is designed to operate at lower pressures. Mitas says its larger contact area supports traction efficiency and soil protection. The tyre also uses Hexa-Core technology, developed to improve rim fitment and durability.

Focus on implements and trailers

For trailer and implement use, visitors will see the VF 560/60R22.5 AGRITERRA ULTRA Soil Protector and the 560/60R22.5 AGRITERRA ULTRA. Both tyres are aimed at modern agricultural trailers and implements where load capacity and transport efficiency matter.

The display will also include the 600/70R30 SFT, one of Mitas’ established high-performance tractor tyres. It is positioned for traction, flotation and ride comfort in demanding field conditions.

The company’s Norfolk presence follows wider activity in agricultural tyres. Tyre News recently covered Mitas’ TERRAGUARD VF implement radial launch, which also centred on higher load capacity at lower pressure.  Tyre News has also reported on Mitas’ World Ploughing Championship 2025 partnership, where VF construction and PFO technology were part of the technical focus.

Why it matters for tyre dealers and farm fleets

Agricultural tyre choice has become more complex as tractors and implements become heavier. Farmers must balance traction, fuel use, road travel and soil preservation. This gives tyre dealers and fleet service providers a stronger advisory role, particularly where inflation pressure and load management affect field performance.

David Miller, Sales Director UK and Ireland at Yokohama TWS, said farmers are increasingly focused on balancing productivity with long-term soil health. He said the Royal Norfolk Show offers a chance to discuss how tyre technology can support both objectives through VF construction, flotation and load-carrying capacity.

Halfords Commercial Fleet Services brings a service and fleet support angle to the display. Tyre News has previously reported on HCFS expanding its Avonmouth commercial tyre depot, strengthening regional tyre support for operators in the South West.
