Goodyear has received Auto Bild’s Top Manufacturer of the Year award for summer tyres in 2025, marking its third win in four years. The recognition follows strong results across multiple independent tyre tests conducted by the German magazine, including test victories and special commendations for key Goodyear products.
Europe’s highest-circulation automotive magazine evaluated results from four major summer tyre tests in 2025. Goodyear’s Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 was a consistent top performer, earning two test wins and a runner-up position, alongside being named Eco-Master—a title recognising environmental performance.
In the SUV segment, the EfficientGrip 2 SUV received Auto Bild’s Green Tire award, contributing to Goodyear’s overall win as the top-performing summer tyre manufacturer.
The awards build on Goodyear’s previous titles from Auto Bild in 2022 and 2023. Notably, the brand also received the Top Manufacturer for Winter Tyres accolade in 2023.
Auto Bild’s editorial summary cited Goodyear’s “deserved victory” for the 2025 summer season, highlighting the brand’s excellence across both ultra-high performance (UHP) and SUV product lines.
The award is based on aggregated performance, including braking, handling, rolling resistance, and environmental impact—areas in which Goodyear’s products have consistently scored high.
Goodyear’s recognition in both performance and sustainability categories highlights the tyre industry's shift toward multi-dimensional evaluation criteria. As environmental considerations become as important as grip and durability, manufacturers are increasingly tasked with balancing rolling efficiency, noise, and compound sustainability. The dual wins for the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 6 and EfficientGrip 2 SUV reflect how OEMs and the replacement market now prioritise both driving dynamics and eco-performance, particularly relevant for the expanding EV and SUV markets.
