Balkrishna Industries Ltd (BKT) will present BKT Carbon at K 2025 in Düsseldorf from 8–15 October, marking the brand’s first international showing. At Hall 8a, booth K33, the company plans to engage plastics and rubber buyers across agriculture films, wire and cable, engineering plastics, automotive components, inks, coatings and rubber compounds. BKT says the display will emphasise performance grades and manufacturing integration built at its Bhuj site in India.
BKT Carbon says it will highlight carbon black solutions for demanding applications, combining durability with surface aesthetics. Product discussions will cover agricultural films, wire and cable, engineering plastics, automotive parts, inks, coatings and rubber compounds.
“Participating in K 2025 is an important milestone since we are introducing ourselves for the first time as a global specialty carbon black supplier on this important platform,” said Mr. Bajaj, Sr. President/Director & CFO, BKT Carbon.
At Bhuj, BKT reports it reuses more than 75,000 m³ of gas from oil decomposition each year. It has eliminated around 100,000 bulk bags and cut site CO₂ by over two million kilograms. The company says it is evaluating PNG, LPG, biogas and renewables to further reduce emissions.
“Bringing our Carbon Black to K 2025 not only means presenting a competitive, full-range product portfolio, but also an industrial model based on integration, innovation and sustainability,” added Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director, BKT.
BKT’s five-year plan targets an increase in BKT Carbon capacity from 200,000 to 360,000 tonnes per year by 2026, with a sharper focus on performance carbon products. Tyre News has recently covered BKT’s carbon black capacity expansion at Bhuj, outlining the integration benefits for tyre and materials operations.
The K 2025 launch also aligns with BKT’s 2030 roadmap across tyres, which signals wider product ambitions and capital investment. These moves position BKT Carbon to compete for higher-spec plastics and rubber demand in Europe.
Tyre News recently reported BKT retaining Caterpillar’s Supplier Excellence Recognition for 2025, a data point procurement teams may consider when assessing supplier reliability. Market consolidation elsewhere (for example, capacity cuts at rival producers) is reshaping carbon black supply in EMEA.
