Rebranding Aimed at Rider Individuality and Growth

Avon Tyres has introduced a new brand identity centred on its “Made to be Different” positioning, reaffirming its commitment to motorcyclists who value style, independence, and performance. The rebrand, now visible across Avon’s social media channels and soon on its refreshed website, marks a strategic move to reinforce Avon’s distinct voice within the Goodyear brand portfolio.

The new identity builds on Avon’s heritage and positions it as a standout brand in the custom, cruiser, and sport-touring segments. It also seeks to energise Avon’s existing customer base while reaching out to a new generation of freethinking riders.

Investment in Manufacturing and Product Quality

Since joining the Goodyear family in 2022—alongside Dunlop Motorcycle Tyres Europe—Avon has benefitted from a multi-phase industrial upgrade at its European manufacturing site. This includes:

  • Five advanced tyre-building machines
  • A dedicated finishing line for Avon’s whitewall range
  • Increased capacity and re-engineered fitments

These changes aim to elevate Avon’s production quality to Goodyear’s standards while addressing growing global demand.

Updated Range Targets Broad Motorcycle Market

Avon’s product portfolio continues to focus on four key lines:

Cobra Chrome

Designed for cruiser and custom bikes, Cobra Chrome features a snakeskin tread and optional whitewalls. With 74 SKUs covering 750+ models, it is Avon’s flagship for riders who prioritise visual flair and all-weather performance.

Spirit ST

Aimed at the sport-touring segment, Spirit ST combines extended mileage with strong wet-weather grip. Over 830 motorcycles are listed in Avon’s fitment guide for this tyre.

3D Supersport

Built for hypersport riders, 3D Supersport focuses on handling, stability, and rider feedback, with compatibility across 600 models.

Roadrider MKII

Blending classic aesthetics with modern construction, the MKII supports over 1,100 motorcycles, making it a staple for riders who prefer retro-styled machines.

Looking ahead, Avon plans to introduce upgraded specifications for several sizes by August 2025, with new sizes to follow in 2026 and beyond. Three legacy product lines are also being re-integrated into the brand portfolio.

Avon Tyres’ brand refresh reflects a growing trend among legacy tyre makers to distinguish themselves in niche motorcycle markets. With Goodyear’s backing, Avon is aligning traditional craftsmanship with modern consumer expectations, balancing identity-driven design with technical compliance and performance. The use of upgraded machinery and product re-engineering highlights how the motorcycle tyre sector is evolving in parallel with automotive innovation, particularly in premium and lifestyle-oriented segments.
