Apollo Tyres launches new 10.00-20 truck and bus bias range.

Apollo Tyres has unveiled a new series of truck and bus bias (TBB) tyres, significantly expanding its commercial vehicle portfolio with three models designed to reduce total cost of ownership for fleet operators.

The launch focuses on the popular 10.00-20 size category, with each tyre engineered to address specific operational requirements. Developed through collaboration between Apollo's global research and manufacturing teams, the range promises enhanced durability, reliability and extended mileage through advanced technological features.

The Range

The new line-up comprises two drive pattern tyres and one steer pattern option:

XT 1x – A drive pattern tyre designed for profitability, featuring a robust lug design that resists cuts and chips, alongside a durable carcass structure.

XT 2x – For operations requiring extra strength, this drive pattern tyre incorporates an extra-deep tread and reinforced casing to improve load capacity and longevity.

XR 1x – A steer pattern tyre built for extended service life, utilising a specialised tread matrix to minimise wear whilst incorporating design elements for improved heat dissipation and durability.

Performance Benefits

The drive patterns are constructed to deliver superior traction across diverse operating conditions, whilst the steer pattern prioritises stability, even wear and responsive handling. Together, the tyres are engineered to maximise vehicle uptime and operational efficiency, offering transport businesses a comprehensive solution.

Rajesh Dahiya, Vice President – Commercial (India, SAARC and Southeast Asia) at Apollo Tyres Ltd, commented: "This new TBB tyre range is a strong step forward in our journey to deliver superior performance and value. By combining advanced design, robust construction and application-focused patterns, we aim to help our customers achieve lower operating costs whilst meeting the demands of newer and growing vehicle segments."

The launch reaffirms Apollo Tyres' commitment to innovation and developing solutions that support more efficient, profitable and dependable mobility for commercial vehicle operators.
