Linglong Tire is renaming its Grip Master series to align with the established Sport Master brand, bringing naming consistency to its ultra-high-performance (UHP), all-season, winter, and crossover/SUV tyre ranges.
From June 2025, the Grip Master 4S and Grip Master Winter tyres will be rebranded as Sport Master 4S and Sport Master Winter. In July 2025, the Grip Master C/S (Crossover/SUV) pattern will be renamed Sport Master C/S. The updates affect branding only—tyre construction, tread patterns, and compound formulations will remain unchanged.
The move builds on the success of Linglong’s existing UHP tyre, the Sport Master, which has received positive independent testing results from Auto Bild and ADAC over the past two years. By extending the ‘Sport Master’ name to additional product categories, Linglong aims to simplify its product naming while reinforcing brand recognition across multiple market segments.
■ Grip Master 4S ➝ Sport Master 4S
■ Grip Master Winter ➝ Sport Master Winter
■ Grip Master C/S ➝ Sport Master C/S
These changes are accompanied by updated EAN numbers and EPREL energy labels, due to the altered sidewall markings. Distribution will remain unchanged: the 4S and C/S variants will continue to be produced in China and Serbia, while the winter model will be manufactured exclusively in Serbia.
The updated naming strategy does not affect the tyres’ technical properties or market positioning. Retailers and distributors should note the sidewall branding change and updated product codes, which may impact inventory tracking and digital listings.
