Petlas drives European growth with 1.FC Köln deal.

Petlas Tire Corporation will promote its Starmaxx brand across German football next year after agreeing a season-long tyre-partner deal with 1.FC Köln. The Bundesliga tie-up strengthens Starmaxx’s European growth campaign and places the marque in front of thousands of spectators at the club’s RheinEnergieStadion and millions of TV viewers.

Strategic expansion into Europe

Okyanus Tuna, Director of Sales and Marketing at Petlas, said:

“Partnering with 1.FC Köln, one of Germany’s most historic and respected football clubs, is a powerful move to elevate Starmaxx’s brand recognition. This sponsorship underscores our unwavering commitment to growth and serves as another key milestone in expanding the reach of Starmaxx through sports marketing.”

Starmaxx, already present in both consumer and commercial segments, views sports partnerships as an efficient route to accelerate brand familiarity and showcase tyre performance across the continent.

Stadium-side activation

The agreement grants extensive match-day visibility, with Starmaxx featured on LED perimeter boards at the 50,000-capacity RheinEnergieStadion throughout the 2025/26 campaign. Further joint marketing initiatives are planned, ranging from digital content to fan-engagement activities that align club audiences with the brand’s performance and reliability message.

Mutual commitment

Philipp Liesenfeld, Managing Director of FC Köln, added:

“We appreciate the trust placed in us by Starmaxx and look forward to a partnership characterised by mutual commitment and shared ambitions.”

The collaboration is expected to benefit both parties: Starmaxx gains a prominent platform in a major European league, while Köln secures a partner eager to invest in fan-facing activations.
