Stapleton’s Tyre Services is putting more weight behind premium tyres across its UK wholesale and dealer channels. The wholesaler says the mix supports customer safety, gives retailers clearer fitment choices for EVs and SUVs, and helps protect margins in a competitive market.

The company supplies all price brackets, but it continues to push availability and delivery performance on fast-moving premium sizes. Stapleton’s runs 11 distribution locations with a large national fleet, which it says helps dealers access the right stock quickly and keep bays turning.

Dealer support sits alongside the product focus. Stapleton’s promotes structured retail tools and training so front-of-house teams can explain tyre choices and ratings in simple terms. It has also used points-based rewards to steer reseller purchases toward premium brands, which typically offer stronger lifetime value for motorists and better profitability for the trade.

Premium tyres often bring shorter stopping distances, stronger wet grip, and constructions tailored for heavier EVs and high-load SUVs. Clear positioning helps retailers reduce returns, hit first-time fit, and defend price. Combined with reliable next-day drops, that can lift customer satisfaction and repeat business.

Stapleton’s is one of the UK’s largest distributors of passenger car, 4x4, and van tyres, employing more than 1,000 people. Operations span wholesale supply, dealership support, national accounts, and rapid service.
