Point S has begun 2026 (its 55th anniversary year) by simultaneously launching operations in Greece, Cyprus and Zambia, extending the network's proven turnkey retail model to three new territories through partnerships with experienced local operators.
The expansion sees one of the world's largest independent networks of tyre and maintenance specialists team up with established businesses that bring decades of market knowledge and existing customer bases to the partnership.
In Greece, Point S has signed a Master Franchise agreement with Tenora Techniki S.A., a subsidiary of the Athens-based Tournikiotis family group. Founded over a century ago, Tenora has operated in tyre distribution for more than 50 years and holds exclusive representation rights for several international manufacturers in the Greek market.
Since finalising the agreement in late 2024, 11 franchise agreements have been concluded. The first harmonised points of sale opened on Crete at the end of 2025, with plans to establish approximately 30 centres across Greece in the medium term.
Building on its Greek expansion, Point S has also entered Cyprus through a Master Franchise agreement with Eltenor Ltd, based in Limassol. Founded in 2015, Eltenor represents a partnership between local entrepreneur Andreas Michael and the Tournikiotis group, providing commercial coverage throughout the Cypriot market.
Eltenor acts as exclusive representative and distributor for a world-renowned tyre brand, which it will combine with Point S's international supplier agreements. The first pilot point of sale, operated by Stathis Michael Tyre Centre Ltd in Limassol, will open shortly, with plans to expand to approximately 15 centres across Cyprus's main towns.
In Africa, Point S has partnered with Tyre King Enterprises Limited to establish its first presence in Zambia. Founded in 1995, Tyre King has grown from a single shop to become one of Zambia's leading tyre and battery retailers, operating 15 branches across five cities with 13 fully equipped service centres.
Karl O'Donohoe, representing Point S in Zambia, explained the rationale behind the partnership: "The decision to join Point S was a natural step for us. We wanted to broaden our portfolio of services, access technical expertise not readily available locally and leverage the wealth of experience represented by the Point S brand. The support of the Point S South Africa team played a key role in this decision."
The transformation will begin with two points of sale (one in Lusaka and another in Kitwe) with plans to establish 10–12 Point S centres across Zambia's five largest urban centres: Lusaka, Kitwe, Ndola, Chipata and Livingstone.
The three launches demonstrate Point S's expansion strategy of partnering with solid local operators who possess deep market knowledge, established customer bases and proven operational capabilities. This approach enables rapid network rollout whilst ensuring each centre delivers Point S's high standards of service and customer care.
Fabien Bouquet, chief executive of Point S International, commented: "These three market launches represent a significant milestone in Point S's global development. What makes this particularly exciting is the quality and calibre of our new partners. In Greece and Cyprus, we're working with the Tournikiotis group and Eltenor Ltd, whose century of experience and deep market knowledge provides an exceptional foundation for growth in the Mediterranean region. In Zambia, Tyre King brings 30 years of operational excellence and an established reputation that will accelerate our entry into this important African market.
"This is exactly the model that has made Point S successful worldwide, combining our international expertise and proven business systems with local partners who understand their customers and markets intimately. We're confident these partnerships will deliver rapid growth and set new standards for automotive service in their respective regions."
The Mediterranean and African expansions complement Point S's existing presence across 54 countries worldwide, reinforcing its position as a truly global automotive service network that combines international expertise with local market understanding.
