A new Bluetooth-enabled tyre inflation system is offering a safer, smarter way to manage commercial vehicle tyres. Designed for truck, bus, and van operations, PCL’s ACCURA QUBE inflator and Workshop Connect App allow technicians to control inflation remotely while generating a digital record of each job. The setup supports workshop and roadside use, helping fleets meet compliance standards while improving technician safety.

Smart Inflation for the Commercial Sector

The ACCURA QUBE Tyre Inflator connects to the Workshop Connect App via Bluetooth, enabling technicians to inflate tyres from up to 15 metres away. This reduces the risk of injury in high-pressure situations and improves workflow in busy fleet environments.

The app is compatible with both Android and iOS and walks the user through inflation tasks step-by-step. It includes features like vehicle type and axle selection, live pressure monitoring, and an emergency stop option.

Digital Tracking and Safety Integration

Each inflation session is automatically logged, producing downloadable PDF or CSV reports. These include tyre pressure data, vehicle registration, and mileage — forming an auditable trail for fleet managers.

Additional safety features include:

  • Flat and over-inflation alerts
  • Secure pairing of devices
  • Manual override and distance warnings

This data-led approach helps fleet operators improve servicing accuracy and comply with tyre maintenance policies, particularly in regulated or high-volume operations.

Supporting UK-Based Development

The system was developed in Sheffield, with PCL collaborating with local technology partners. Managing Director Lee Wright confirmed the company’s investment was driven by demand for safer, connected inflation tools that can support compliance and technician well-being.
