Nexen Tire has unveiled a comprehensive leadership restructuring of its European operations, establishing a unified sales and marketing division under a newly created regional sector designed to enhance decision-making and coordination across the continent.
The South Korean tyre manufacturer has appointed Jeff Roh as Vice President of Europe Sales & Marketing to head the newly established Europe Sales Regional Sector. In this overarching role, Roh will oversee all sales and marketing activities throughout Europe, with the company anticipating that the consolidation will accelerate strategic decisions and improve cross-regional collaboration.
The organisational changes place particular emphasis on strengthening Nexen's presence in Germany and Eastern European markets. Jeffrey (Sang Jun) Kim has been promoted from his position as Managing Director of Nexen Tire Germany to Vice President of Europe Sales Central & East at Nexen Tire Europe. Kim will retain his German management responsibilities whilst also assuming oversight of the company's operations in the Czech Republic, Poland, and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) region.
In a notable shift, Peter Gulow, previously Vice President of Europe Central & East, transitions to an advisory role providing strategic guidance to the Central and Eastern European division. The company stated that Gulow's three decades of industry experience would be "leveraged to the most" to support sales growth across the region.
The restructuring forms part of Nexen Tire's broader strategy to strengthen its competitive position within the European tyre market. The company believes the refined organisational structure will enhance internal collaboration, maintain service standards, and enable more agile responses to market opportunities and challenges across Europe.
The announcement comes as tyre manufacturers continue to navigate evolving market dynamics in Europe, with companies increasingly focusing on operational efficiency and regional coordination to maintain competitiveness in a challenging economic environment.
