At the 2025 Road Transport Expo (RTX), Hankook is presenting its latest range of commercial vehicle tyres, reaffirming its position in the UK truck tyre market. Alongside a broad display of products for fleet and regional haulage, the company is also launching Laufenn365, a new digital claims platform designed to streamline damage warranty claims for its Laufenn brand.

Digital Claims Coverage with Laufenn365

Laufenn365 is Hankook’s new customer service platform that enables quick and simple processing of damage claims for Laufenn truck tyres. The platform supports Hankook’s damage warranty coverage by offering refunds in the event of accidental tyre damage, providing fleet operators with greater cost control and confidence in their investment.

Focus on EV and Mixed-Service Applications

Returning to RTX is Hankook’s e-SMART City AU56 — currently the only tyre on the market specifically designed for electric buses. Engineered for urban public transport, it features low rolling resistance, reduced interior noise, and reinforced construction to handle high torque and the added weight of EV battery packs.

Hankook is also spotlighting its Smart Work AM11+ in 315/80R22.5. Designed for on- and off-road use, this steer axle tyre includes strengthened sidewall protection and enhanced durability for stop-start performance. It targets mixed-service operators requiring both resilience and flexibility.

Regional and Long-Haul Coverage

The SmartFlex AL51 (steer/all-position) and SmartFlex DL51 (drive axle) represent Hankook’s solution for hybrid regional and long-distance transport. Both products are regroovable and retreadable, providing longevity and lifecycle cost advantages.

Laufenn Portfolio Expansion

As part of Hankook’s second-tier offering, Laufenn products on show include:

  • LF95 trailer tyre
  • LF22 all-position regional haul tyre
  • LZ22 drive axle variant

The Laufenn commercial range has been developed based on Hankook’s established R&D platform, offering cost-effective solutions with guaranteed retreadability — an increasingly important factor in fleet sustainability strategies.

Industry Engagement

According to Hankook’s UK Truck Sales Manager, Jon Cottrell, RTX provides a valuable forum for customer engagement and in-depth product discussions with commercial operators. Visitors to Stand R30 can meet with technical and sales teams to assess options tailored to fleet requirements.
