GSF Car Parts has opened a new branch in St Austell, Cornwall, marking the second location in its 2025 expansion strategy. The site forms part of a broader growth plan aimed at strengthening service for independent garages and trade customers across the South West.

Strategic Role in Regional Distribution

Located on the St Austell Bay Business Park, the 5,300 sq ft facility will function as a Regional Distribution Centre (RDC), supporting existing branches in Camborne, Penryn and Newquay. The site features a customer-facing shop, office space, and parts storage, with an initial fleet of eight new vans.

This opening is part of a wider plan to introduce seven full branches and four satellite sites by the end of 2025. GSF is aiming to enhance availability and delivery speeds across key UK regions.

Expansion Builds on Record 2024

GSF’s latest move follows a busy 2024, during which it launched 15 new sites and opened a 500,000 sq ft National Distribution Centre in Wolverhampton. The St Austell launch has created 17 local jobs across sales, warehousing and logistics.

Executive Viewpoint

Commenting on the rollout, GSF CEO Steve Horne said the company is scaling up its footprint to support continued growth and customer service improvements. Branch Manager Jim Medlin noted the branch’s commitment to serving local garages with fast delivery and technical support.
