Goodyear and Schmitz Cargobull have expanded their partnership to integrate Goodyear TPMS Connect with the TrailerConnect® Data Management Centre. Fleets running Schmitz Cargobull trailers can access tyre data and Goodyear’s predictive insights via the existing telematics—no extra hardware or SIM required. The collaboration targets higher uptime, better safety and easier compliance by securely sharing tyre-relevant information across platforms.
Schmitz Cargobull’s TrailerConnect® platform can now selectively provide and retrieve tyre data from Goodyear TPMS Connect, enabling real-time pressure and temperature monitoring alongside GPS context inside a single telematics view. The Data Management Centre is designed for multi-brand visibility and secure, user-controlled data sharing across a wide partner ecosystem.
The integrated setup works with Schmitz Cargobull’s factory telematics and TPMS, so fleets can turn on Goodyear TPMS Connect services without installing additional hardware. That lowers activation time and helps standardise tyre monitoring across mixed trailer pools.
EU rules have made TPMS mandatory on newly registered heavy trucks and trailers, pushing fleets toward connected monitoring and timely alerts for low pressure. Integrations that combine telematics with tyre analytics help operators meet compliance, reduce roadside failures and extend casing life.
“With this next step in our collaboration, we are combining the strengths of our proven trailer telematics with Goodyear's tire intelligence solution… The seamless integration of Goodyear TPMS Connect supports our goal of providing our customers with smarter, safer and more efficient transport solutions.” — Jan Uhlenbruck, Head of Full Service Solutions, Digital Services, Schmitz Cargobull.
“We are delighted to deepen our collaboration with Schmitz Cargobull by integrating Goodyear TPMS Connect directly into their trailer platform… fleets can benefit from Goodyear's predictive analytics and tire intelligence without having to install additional hardware.” — Piotr Czyżyk, Managing Director, Fleet Mobility Europe, Goodyear.
Goodyear has been rolling out tools that align with this integration. Recent coverage on Tyre News shows Goodyear’s 2025 Drive Results Tour highlighting TPMS Connect and fleet services, and a Value Simulator that models cost and CO₂ savings from digital tyre management, signposts to the same data-driven approach behind Goodyear TPMS Connect.

Schmitz Cargobull’s TrailerConnect® Data Management Centre gives operators a consolidated, GDPR-compliant view of assets and trips, plus integration points to common real-time visibility platforms. Customers decide which data to share and with whom, useful when coordinating subcontractors while protecting business-sensitive information.
From July 2024, TPMS is mandatory for newly registered heavy vehicles and trailers in the EU, with performance thresholds for alerting drivers to significant pressure loss. Integrations like Goodyear TPMS Connect inside trailer telematics help fleets operationalise those requirements.
