
Kumho Tire Co., Ltd. has announced a series of strong results in ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) evaluations for 2025, demonstrating continued progress in sustainability management and corporate governance.
The tyre manufacturer retained its Gold medal status from EcoVadis for the second consecutive year, placing it amongst the top tier of companies assessed for sustainability performance. EcoVadis evaluates organisations across four key pillars: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
In 2024, Kumho Tire ranked within the top 5 per cent of approximately 150,000 companies assessed globally by the platform. The company's 2025 evaluation showed notable improvements in labour and human rights, as well as ethics categories, which Kumho attributes to enhanced ethical management systems and expanded data management capabilities.

The Korean Standards Institute awarded Kumho Tire an overall A rating in its 2025 ESG assessment, representing a one-grade improvement year-on-year. The company said this advancement reflects strengthened management practices, including the establishment of a human rights management framework, the setting of employee diversity targets, increased investment in information security, and the introduction of board evaluations.
Kumho Tire has participated in the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) since 2022. In its latest assessment, the company achieved an A- rating for water security, recognising its water management capabilities. More significantly, it was placed on CDP's prestigious A List for Supplier Engagement, acknowledging progress in climate change response and ESG management throughout its supply chain.
The manufacturer has maintained an AA rating in ESG assessments conducted by MSCI since 2022, demonstrating consistency in its sustainability performance. Additionally, Kumho Tire earned Yearbook member status in S&P Global's Corporate Sustainability Assessment, ranking within the top 15 per cent of companies in the auto components sector.
Domestically, the company received recognition at the 2025 Korea Sustainability Conference, organised by the Korean Standards Association. Kumho Tire ranked first in the tyre category of the Korean Sustainability Index for the third consecutive year. Its sustainability report was also selected as an outstanding report for a second year running in the manufacturing category of the Korean Readers' Choice Awards.

The results suggest that Kumho Tire's systematic approach to ESG management is gaining traction with international assessment bodies, positioning the company favourably as sustainability credentials become increasingly important to customers, investors and regulatory bodies across the global tyre industry.
