Bright debuts leverless PRIMEX 8655 tyre changer at Autopromotec 2025
Bright, part of the Italian-based Nexion Group, is set to showcase its latest tyre servicing equipment at Autopromotec 2025 in Bologna, Italy. Taking centre stage on Stand B20, Hall 19 will be the newly developed PRIMEX 8655 – the newest addition to the Bright Premium line of tyre changers.
The PRIMEX 8655 has been designed with a focus on efficiency, ergonomics, and safety for use on large-diameter and high-performance wheels, aligning with growing demand for specialist equipment capable of handling increasingly complex tyre and rim assemblies.
The Bright PRIMEX 8655 introduces several performance-focused upgrades:
■ Patented ZD-06 leverless system: Designed by Nexion Italy, this system enables safe and efficient tyre removal without the need for traditional tyre levers – helping reduce technician fatigue and rim damage.
■ Central post locking mechanism: Offers improved stability during mounting and demounting, particularly for wheels up to 30 inches in diameter and 15 inches in width.
■ Direct drive inverter motor: Delivers a constant 1200Nm of torque, improving control and reliability during operation.
■ Dual bead breaker: Features a precision-guided movement system to increase process speed while reducing strain on the operator.
■ Integrated wheel lifter with rim protection: The heavy-duty lifter includes protective elements to prevent rim scratches during loading.
■ OPT system: An in-built function to eliminate wheel jitter caused by road force variation, improving service quality and balancing outcomes.
The external design and user interface were developed in collaboration with Mango, a Netherlands-based industrial design firm, contributing to the machine’s ergonomic and visual appeal.

Bright, established as a key global supplier of automotive service equipment, operates from a 38,000 sq metre production facility with nearly 500 staff. The company reports an annual output of 70,000 units, supplying over 100 markets across Europe, North America, and Australia.
Its product line spans tyre changers, wheel balancers, wheel alignment systems, and vehicle lifts, covering applications for passenger vehicles, commercial fleets, and engineering vehicles.
As vehicles – especially EVs and high-performance models, adopt larger, lower-profile tyres, the demand for leverless, torque-consistent changers will continue to grow. Equipment manufacturers are increasingly blending design, ergonomics, and automation to meet this shift in workshop requirements.
