Dhillon to Lead BKT USA, Mehta Named Senior Advisor

Balkrishna Industries Ltd. (BKT) has appointed Jay Dhillon as president of BKT USA. Minoo Mehta becomes senior advisor for the company’s truck and bus radial (TBR) business in the United States.

  • Dhillon will lead BKT’s Ohio based subsidiary and drive growth in the off-highway tyre market.
  • Mehta will support the TBR strategy in the US, with work tied to new product lines.
  • Mehta’s appointment took effect 1 October 2025.

BKT said Dhillon brings more than 20 years of global leadership in the tyre industry. His remit includes long term growth planning, market expansion in new and existing channels, and alignment of all US business units with the company’s strategy. He will also develop strategic partner relationships to support sustainable growth.

“I am excited to join the BKT team and contribute to its forward looking growth,” Dhillon said. “With over 20 years in the tire industry and an engineering background, my goal is to lead the team and drive success during this dynamic time while upholding the company’s commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence.”

The company said Mehta will strengthen BKT’s US TBR strategy, which is expected to lead to the development and launch of new product lines. His role is effective from 1 October 2025.

BKT is a global manufacturer of off-highway tyres serving agriculture, construction, industrial, and mining sectors. The US is a priority market for the brand’s growth plans.

Expansion signals from BKT in 2025

BKT has outlined a 2030 roadmap that adds passenger car radial and TBR lines, broadening beyond its off-highway base. That plan targets new revenue streams and higher contribution from on-road segments over the decade. BKT also reported growth in the year to 31 March 2025, with higher revenue and earnings supporting capacity and product investments.

In September 2025, BKT confirmed its ‘Excellence Level’ under Caterpillar’s Supplier Excellence Recognition programme for 2025, underscoring quality and delivery metrics valued by OEM customers.
