From 2005 reboot to 2025 awards: Autogem’s TPMS journey.

Autogem Invicta Limited is marking 20 years since the Chopra family acquired the business in 2005, a turning point that reshaped the company from a long-standing parts supplier into a technology-led TPMS specialist.

The anniversary frames two decades of investment in tools, training and customer support, and arrives amid fresh product launches and recent UK industry awards that underscore Autogem’s position in the aftermarket.

A legacy with a decisive reboot

Autogem’s heritage reaches back to the 1960s, with the current company name formalised in 1996. The 2005 acquisition by brothers Adit and Prashant Chopra catalysed a commercial and technical reboot, focusing on higher-value diagnostics, sensors and fast-moving workshop supplies.

“This milestone reflects 20 years of resilience and partnership with customers,” - Managing Director Adit Chopra.

"What a journey these 20 years have been, a huge shout out to all our customer and industry partners for their immense support and of course to all the amazing team Autogem Invicta Ltd it is truly a joy to be with you." - Prashant Chopra - Co-Owner at Autogem Invicta Ltd

A new level of visibility

Autogem has broadened its on-the-ground presence through its annual Under Pressure skills event, positioned as the UK aftermarket’s TPMS showcase. The 2025 edition broke participation records and added the Adam Livett Award to recognise professionalism and human connection among technicians, reinforcing the brand’s training-first approach. Readers can revisit Tyre News coverage of the event’s return and expanding scope in Under Pressure ’25 and its record participation report.

Innovation in the bay

Product development has continued alongside training. In August, Autogem introduced i-Sensor EVO, a handheld device built to simplify diagnostics and streamline TPMS servicing in workshops, joining the firm’s existing sensor and tooling portfolio. The launch responds to rising TPMS service demand a decade after legislation took effect for vehicles first used from 2012.

Why it matters for garages and fleets

For retailers, fast diagnostics translate into shorter cycle times and fewer comebacks. For fleets, accurate TPMS management supports uptime and compliance. The regulatory backdrop remains active: the MOT inspection manual was updated on 11 August 2025 to clarify TPMS inspection exemptions for certain M1 vehicles over 2,500kg GVW, useful detail for mixed-use operators and test stations.

Recognition and industry standing

Autogem’s training and tool investments have translated into silverware. At the 2025 NTDA Tyre Industry Awards, the company collected Aftermarket Supplier of the Year and Staff Training and Development Initiative of the Year, underlining its combined product-and-people focus. The honours add to earlier finalist listings and reflect strong peer recognition across the UK aftermarket.

Customer support as a differentiator

The company’s approach remains personal. Family ownership, a growing team and a hands-on training ethos have become hallmarks of the Autogem brand. In practice, that means live competition formats, structured CPD and responsive technical support for garages, tyre retailers and fleet service providers, an operating model that has helped embed Autogem tools and sensors across the UK market.
