Alliance says farmers and dealers attending its 2026 demo day in Prescot saw live demonstrations showing how tyre pressure and tyre specification can affect fuel use, traction and operator comfort in agricultural work.
The event, hosted by farmer and contractor Olly Harrison, brought together around 50 attendees for a series of practical demonstrations involving tractors fitted with different Alliance agricultural tyre ranges, including Agri Nova, Agri Star II, Agriflex+ 372 VF, Agriflex+ 373 VF, and flotation and implement products from the 590 and 389 VF lines.
A central part of the day focused on what Alliance described as the link between “cost and comfort”. The company carried out a road comparison using two Fendt tractors and a comparable Valtra tractor over a route of about 17km. According to Alliance, the comparison tested minimum recommended tyre pressures against maximum nominal pressures while keeping route, driver, load and speed consistent.
Alliance said the results showed fuel consumption differences of up to 13% on standard radial tyres and up to 20% on VF tyres. The company added that, over a working day of around 300km, this could amount to savings of up to £79 per day.
The event also included traction and self-cleaning demonstrations using a Challenger sled in wet conditions. Alliance used the session to compare the Agri Star II, Agriflex+ 372 VF and Agriflex+ 373 VF, with a particular focus on slip, power transfer and performance at the correct operating pressures.
Alliance also used the day to give UK visibility to its Agri Nova R-1 bias tyre, positioned for light-to-medium duty tractor applications. The company said the product features a three-angle lug design, higher lug density and a wider tread footprint, and is supported by a seven-year warranty.
The Prescot event was structured as a multi-station field day covering fuel efficiency, traction performance, self-cleaning and product briefings, with attendees rotating through the different sessions.
For dealers, the message from the event was clear: Alliance is aiming to support product sales with live demonstrations and application data, particularly around operating efficiency, traction performance and soil protection.
