Transense Technologies plc has launched its Translogik TLGi Digital Handheld Tyre Inflator at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show in Las Vegas this week, introducing what the company describes as a "connected service tool" designed to revolutionise tyre maintenance practices for commercial truck and bus fleets.
The device, being showcased at one of the world's largest automotive trade events (4-7 November at the Las Vegas Convention Centre), represents the latest innovation from Transense's Translogik division. It combines precision inflation capabilities with real-time data capture, transforming what has traditionally been a manual process into a fully traceable, connected workflow.
The TLGi has been developed in direct response to feedback from fleet operators, who have long struggled with tyre inflation traceability issues. Current practices often leave fleets unable to verify pressures before and after inflation, meaning faults can go undiagnosed and inflation events remain unrecorded.
The new digital inflator eliminates this gap by automatically capturing, recording and sharing accurate pressure data at every stage of the inflation process.
The device offers Bluetooth integration for seamless pairing with mobile devices, alongside real-time pressure monitoring that records precise readings before and after inflation. Cloud-based data logging provides full traceability and analytics for informed fleet management via Tiretask or compatible software, whilst optional RFID and TPMS reading capabilities expand diagnostic and workflow functionality.
By automating data capture during inflation, the TLGi is designed to help fleets reduce downtime, improve fuel efficiency and extend tyre life through smarter, evidence-based maintenance.

The company emphasises that by recording pressures before and after inflation, the TLGi delivers complete traceability and actionable insights whilst reducing the time required to check, record and carry out inflation procedures.
The Translogik TLGi Digital Handheld Tyre Inflator complements Transense's existing TLGX tyre inspection range. Together, the products are setting what the company calls "a new benchmark for connected workshop tools within the commercial fleet industry."
Sales of the TLGi are expected to follow the strong performance of the wider TLGX range, strengthening Transense's position as a leader in digital tyre management and connected workshop technology.
The Translogik team is exhibiting at SEMA in the Global Tire Expo, South Hall Lower, stand 49221. The TLGi is also being displayed in the New Products Showcase in the same hall.
