RunFlat International has been awarded a 2024 King’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of its export success and commitment to international trade. The UK-based manufacturer, known for its tyre safety solutions, is one of only 197 businesses nationally to receive this honour.
The company supplies over 90% of its products to more than 40 global markets and has achieved a 71% increase in exports since 2021. The award highlights the firm’s continued focus on overseas growth and its strong position in the global defence and security sectors, where reliable mobility solutions are critical.
Headquartered in the UK, RunFlat International develops wheel and tyre support systems that allow continued vehicle mobility in the event of tyre deflation or attack. The company has built a reputation for supplying military and security sectors with high-performance runflat inserts designed to maintain operational effectiveness in hostile environments.
With international demand rising, the business has expanded its reach across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Asia-Pacific regions. The King’s Award acknowledges not only the scale of RunFlat’s export activity but also its strategic growth in global defence logistics and specialised vehicle applications.
The King’s Awards for Enterprise, rebranded from the Queen’s Awards in 2023, are widely recognised as the UK’s most prestigious business honours. Now in their 59th year, the awards celebrate companies that demonstrate exceptional achievement in areas including innovation, sustainability, and international trade.
Winners gain the right to use the King’s Awards emblem for five years, offering national and international recognition of business excellence.
RunFlat International’s export success reflects a growing global focus on vehicle resilience and security. As defence and specialised vehicle markets increasingly demand tyre and wheel systems that maintain mobility under extreme conditions, UK-based firms like RunFlat are strengthening their position in global supply chains.
