Nokian Tyres has expanded its cooperation with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) under a new strategic partnership covering the maintenance and development of IT applications linked to the company’s internal operations and processes.
The agreement will take effect from 1 June 2026. According to Nokian Tyres, the wider partnership is intended to support future business needs, improve the efficiency of its IT organisation and help create a more unified operating model across the business.
TCS has already been providing service desk support, end-user services including device deliveries, and management of network and data centre services for Nokian Tyres. Under the expanded arrangement, additional IT application support and on-site services will transfer to TCS.
Nokian Tyres said the move forms part of its wider transformation programme and will also involve restructuring work within its IT organisation.
Timmy McLellan, VP, IT and Processes and CIO at Nokian Tyres, said the broader partnership would support a more agile and efficient operating model, while providing a foundation for greater use of automation, data-driven systems and artificial intelligence.
TCS, founded in 1968, is a global IT services, consulting and business solutions provider. The company says it operates in 55 countries and reported consolidated revenues of more than US$30 billion for the financial year ended 31 March 2026.
