Nexen Tire’s ultra high performance (UHP) N’Fera Sport tyre has achieved a “Good” overall rating in AUTO BILD sportscars’ 2025 summer tyre test. Recognised for its strong wet weather capabilities, the tyre placed second in wet handling and led the field in aquaplaning resistance.
Tested on a Lotus Emira using 245/35 R20 front and 295/30 R20 rear sizes, the N’Fera Sport stood out for its performance in adverse weather conditions. The tyre demonstrated precise steering and high grip levels on wet surfaces, helping it secure second place in wet handling. It also topped the aquaplaning tests, highlighting its ability to clear water quickly and maintain control in heavy rain.
These characteristics underline its suitability for both everyday and dynamic driving, where consistent wet performance is increasingly critical.
Reviewers from AUTO BILD noted the tyre’s solid all-round performance, including reliable dry braking, steering precision, and driving comfort. It also received positive remarks for rolling resistance and noise levels, striking a balance between driving enjoyment and daily usability.
Positioned at a more accessible price point than some premium UHP rivals, the N’Fera Sport offers a viable option for performance-focused drivers without the premium cost.
Jeff Roh, Vice President of Europe Sales & Marketing at Nexen Tire Europe, commented on the result as recognition of the company’s commitment to R&D in Europe. He highlighted the brand’s goal of delivering performance tyres that align with both technical standards and customer expectations in the region.
The N’Fera Sport’s performance reinforces the growing role of affordable UHP tyres in today’s market, where wet-weather control and responsive handling are core priorities. With regulatory and safety pressures increasing across Europe, tyres like the N’Fera Sport reflect a shift toward high-specification products that balance safety, comfort, and value, especially in larger rim sizes used on performance and electric vehicles.
