International Tyres, the exclusive UK distributor for ZC Rubber's WESTLAKE tyre brand, has visited the manufacturer's Hangzhou headquarters in China to reinforce their strategic partnership and gain deeper insight into production capabilities.
The delegation, led by Managing Director Andy Jackson and Commercial Director Richard Allen, undertook a comprehensive tour focused on product quality, supply chain reliability and service delivery for UK commercial vehicle operators.
The visit follows a period of increased collaboration between the companies. Earlier coverage highlighted how the two sides are aligning to grow WESTLAKE’s UK truck presence, with new patterns and local support designed to lift on-road visibility and sell-out performance for dealers.
The visit began with a tour of ZC Rubber's corporate showroom, which outlined the company's brand heritage, global footprint and future innovation strategies, including sustainability initiatives.
The delegation then visited two key production facilities. The first was the Future Factory for passenger car tyres, where highly automated production lines demonstrated ZC Rubber's commitment to smart manufacturing. The facility features real-time quality monitoring, end-to-end traceability and automated logistics systems designed to ensure consistent product quality whilst improving environmental efficiency.
The second site was the Zhongce Qingquan TBR plant, specialising in all-steel truck and bus radial tyres. Here, guests observed the complete production process from initial material mixing through to final inspection, with emphasis on robust construction techniques, precise engineering and stringent quality controls that contribute to tyre durability and retreading potential.
Leo Liao, European Sales Director of ZC Rubber International Business, commented: "International Tyres is a trusted partner, and visits like this ensure we stay closely aligned with the expectations of UK customers."
Andy Jackson, Managing Director of International Tyres, added: "We appreciated the open access to ZC Rubber's teams and facilities. Seeing the manufacturing and quality processes behind WESTLAKE strengthens our confidence in the product and our ability to support fleets across the UK."
The collaborative visit has established a strong foundation for the two companies to continue aligning on product availability and responsive support, ensuring UK fleets receive dependable performance and value from WESTLAKE tyres across demanding applications.
