Citira has agreed to acquire Redpath Tyres, extending its UK expansion into commercial and agricultural tyre servicing after its earlier entry through off-highway specialist Tyrefix.

Main Article

The 6 October announcement says Redpath operates from 11 locations and employs approximately 90 people, having served Scottish customers for 52 years. The business will retain its name and team, while family members Graham, Neil and Catriona will remain involved and become Citira shareholders.

Oliver Johnson, Head of UK at Citira, described the agreement as “a deliberate first step into the Commercial (TBR) market” and the beginning of its ambition to build a national network.

The move follows Citira’s Tyrefix agreement, covered by TNM in January. Tyrefix specialises in mobile, on-site tyre services for off-highway vehicles. Redpath adds a Scottish service footprint and relationships with commercial fleets and agricultural customers, broadening the group’s UK customer base.

Citira connects the agreement to its tyre management model already established across the Nordics and Poland. Alongside servicing and replacement tyres, this includes retreading worn truck and bus tyres, refurbishing rims and using its own logistics to deliver replacements and collect used tyres and rims for processing.

For Redpath customers, the clearest commitment is continuity of the business name, team and family involvement. The wider service model provides context for Citira’s plans, but the announcement does not establish a timetable for introducing additional group services at Redpath’s locations.

The agreement therefore expands Citira’s UK presence into another tyre segment, while a national commercial tyre network remains an ambition for future growth.
