Bohnenkamp SE has broadened its truck and transport portfolio, adding Sailun’s EcoPoint³-equipped Pro series, launching the exclusive Rovelo truck brand, and introducing the TURON TrailerMove 201 for car trailers. The move targets city, regional and long-haul duty cycles, giving fleets and tyre retailers more choice on rolling resistance, durability and lifecycle value.
Sailun’s EcoPoint³ liquid-phase compounding is designed to reduce heat build-up and rolling resistance, supporting fuel savings and mileage without compromising wet grip. Bohnenkamp positions the Pro series for heavy use across city, regional and distance work, including electric fleets where load and heat management are critical. Recent Tyre News coverage has tracked Sailun’s commercial tyre push in Europe, including a joint activation with Bohnenkamp at the Nürburgring Truck GP.
For urban duty, the City Pro Z in 275/70 R22.5 uses a reinforced sidewall for frequent stop-start bus and distribution routes. Regional operators gain the Delivery Pro D in 315/80 R22.5 with five ribs and 3D sipes on the drive axle to sustain traction. Long-haul fitments include the Ecomax Pro S in 315/80 R22.5 for steer axles, with bionic, leaf-like sipes to stabilise wet-grip performance, and the Ecomax Pro T in 385/55 R22.5 for trailers, engineered for efficient water evacuation via circumferential and cross grooves.
Transport Pro tyres bridge regional and trunking work. The Transport Pro D in 295/60 R22.5 employs an open shoulder and lateral grooves for traction under load, while the Transport Pro S in 315/80 R22.5 reduces rolling resistance thanks to a broad contact patch and three main grooves, with micro-sipes to aid drainage and steering precision.
Bohnenkamp has also begun the roll-out of Rovelo truck tyres, positioned as a reliable and economical option for professional users and supplied exclusively through the Bohnenkamp Group. The company says Rovelo tyres are produced by Sailun Group in modern Asian facilities, drawing on the manufacturer’s technologies and sustainability processes; it highlights Sailun’s ESG credentials, including an “A” rating from MSCI, as part of that story. The Rovelo range spans long-distance, regional and urban applications, with a durable construction aimed at high mileage. All models are regroovable and retreadable, supporting lower lifecycle costs and resource use.
Bohnenkamp’s house brand TURON launches with the TrailerMove 201, a trailer line for leisure and professional users. A wide tread, siped blocks and water-shedding channels aim to deliver predictable handling and long service life, with more than 30 sizes planned. The 201 succeeds the ADAC test-winning BK Trailer/Boka Trailerline and will be available exclusively from Bohnenkamp.
Lower rolling resistance directly affects total cost of ownership and emissions reporting. Under Regulation (EU) 2020/740, heavy-duty tyres require clear label information on fuel efficiency, wet grip and external noise, criteria that influence fleet tenders and sustainability KPIs. An expanded choice of label-conscious products gives wholesalers and operators more room to balance price, performance and compliance.
Tyre News’ analysis of the world’s most sustainable tyre companies also spotlights EcoPoint³ as a lever for lower-emission production, providing useful context for Bohnenkamp’s line-up.
“With Sailun Pro, Rovelo and TURON TrailerMove, we cover two key market requirements: maximum efficiency for professional fleets and practical solutions for everyday applications,” said Karsten Krückeberg, Head of EM/Truck at Bohnenkamp. Mark Sobiech, Key Account Management OEM Truck and Trailer, added: “This portfolio helps users save fuel and reduce emissions while relying on consistent performance, key to long-term competitiveness.”
