BKT Tyres names Guido Boerkamp to lead global product management.

BKT Tyres has appointed Guido Boerkamp as President for Global Product, effective September 2025. The move follows his departure from Apollo Tyres in Febuary 2025 and underscores BKT Tyres’ focus on off-highway product leadership across agriculture, construction and industrial markets.

What Boerkamp’s appointment means for BKT Tyres

BKT Tyres has brought in Boerkamp to oversee global product strategy, lifecycle and portfolio alignment across regions. His remit spans off-highway and specialist tyres, with a mandate to sharpen competitiveness in OE and replacement channels while supporting the company’s multi-year growth ambitions.

Recent BKT Tyres developments

  • BKT Tyres outlined a 2030 roadmap in August, targeting broader category participation and higher global sales. See Tyre News’ coverage of BKT’s 2030 strategy for detail on growth priorities and product mix.
  • In Europe, leadership changes continue: BKT Europe named Paolo Mantovani to lead OEM Industrial & OTR, strengthening its OE interface and regional execution. This supports the global product agenda Boerkamp will now direct.

Boerkamp brings three decades of experience spanning product development, business management and strategy in off-highway tyres. That background is expected to accelerate BKT Tyres’ response to OE fitment needs and the evolving performance requirements of agricultural, industrial and construction fleets, while maintaining coherence in the brand’s global product architecture.

Career note

Before joining BKT Tyres, Boerkamp served as Director of the Off-Highway Tyres Division in Europe at Apollo Tyres, exiting the role in Febuary 2025.
