Goodyear EMEA: Jan-Piet van Kesteren to Lead Consumer Business.

Goodyear has appointed Jan-Piet van Kesteren as Managing Director EMEA & Chief Sales Officer EMEA Consumer, effective 1 September. He will report to Mark Stewart, Goodyear’s Chief Executive Officer and President. Van Kesteren will lead Goodyear EMEA’s consumer operations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa, driving sales execution and regional governance to support the company’s strategy.

What the Appointment Covers

Van Kesteren will head the Consumer business for Goodyear EMEA, with priorities that include profitable growth, sharper sales execution and stronger regional alignment. The remit spans distribution, customer focus and governance across the EMEA geography.

“Jan-Piet's track record of leading large-scale businesses, developing high-performing teams and delivering strong commercial outcomes makes him a great fit for Goodyear,” said Stewart. “His strategic leadership will be key to advancing our EMEA agenda—driving growth in high-value segments, strengthening our distribution model, and executing with a sharp focus on the customer.”
Mark Stewart, CEO & President, Goodyear.

Background and Experience

Van Kesteren brings more than two decades of international commercial leadership. Most recently he served as managing director for EMEA at AkzoNobel and sat on its Executive Committee, following senior roles at Unilever across the region.

EMEA Context and Recent Moves

Goodyear EMEA leadership has seen change in 2025. Earlier this year, CFO Christina Zamarro stepped in as interim head of the unit following Christopher Delaney’s leave of absence. Van Kesteren’s arrival provides a permanent leader for the consumer portfolio as the region enters H2.

At group level, Mark Stewart became Goodyear’s CEO and President in January 2024, setting a renewed executive agenda. His leadership frames Goodyear EMEA priorities around customer focus and value growth.

Related leadership updates include the appointment of Ryan Reed as Vice President of Investor Relations, reporting to Christina Zamarro. Read more in Tyre News:
