Thinkcar UK Hits New Milestone at Automechanika Birmingham 2025
Thinkcar UK has confirmed record engagement and tool sales following its largest-ever presence at Automechanika Birmingham, held at the NEC last week. The diagnostics specialist attracted sustained interest over the three-day event, boosted by live demonstrations, EV-focused product launches, and exclusive trade offers.
The company’s stand featured its most comprehensive lineup to date, including the Thinktool Expert 391, Euro Max, and Euro 399. Also on display were new electric vehicle diagnostics solutions: the Master CE EVD and the Bolt-On EV Kit, designed to support technicians working on hybrid and battery electric models.
Crowds gathered regularly to watch hands-on demonstrations led by YouTube creators Darren Quinn (Mechanic Mindset) and Bob Shervill (RMS Diagnostics), who offered real-world insights into tool performance and workshop use cases.
Thinkcar UK’s HaynesPro promotion – which bundled a free Electric Pack (worth £350 + VAT) with the Euro Max and Euro 399 – proved especially popular. High interest was also recorded in the T77 and T78 diagnostic tools, each offered with a third year of free software updates, underscoring demand for extended platform support.
According to Managing Director Alex Gillbanks, the feedback from workshop professionals ranged from general repairers to EV-focused technicians.
“From all makes and model workshops to EV specialists, the feedback was incredibly positive — not just about the tools, but about the support and value we’re bringing to the market,” said Gillbanks.
Thinkcar UK's growing product suite now includes tools compatible with passenger cars, commercial vehicles, and EV platforms. Features such as dual remote diagnostics, OE-level data, CAN-FD, DoIP, and J2534 protocol support reflect an increasing focus on futureproofing aftermarket diagnostics.
Gillbanks added:
“This year’s Automechanika really cemented our place as a go-to diagnostics brand for the independent aftermarket. We’re building momentum, growing our community, and helping more garages futureproof their business.”
For workshops unable to attend the event, Thinkcar UK is extending the HaynesPro bundle offer until 5:00pm on 30 June. The extension provides additional time for technicians to access EV diagnostic support tools at show prices.
Thinkcar UK's strong showing at Automechanika underlines the aftermarket’s accelerating shift towards EV-capable diagnostic tools. As independent garages prepare for a more electrified vehicle parc, multi-protocol compatibility and advanced data access are becoming essential. The brand's strategy aligns with wider sector needs for scalable, software-driven solutions, a trend reshaping diagnostic service provision across Europe.
