Stapleton’s Tyre Services Adds 30 New Isuzu Trucks to Fleet

A Trusted Partnership Continues
National tyre distributor, Stapleton’s Tyre Services, has bolstered its fleet with the addition of 30 new Isuzu N75.190(E) rigid trucks. This marks a continuation of a partnership that began in 2007 when Stapleton’s shifted to Isuzu’s 7.5-tonne range. The decision highlights Isuzu Truck UK's consistent reliability, customer service, and payload capabilities.

Fitted with 18-foot custom box bodywork by Essex Bodies, the new vehicles are optimised for dual-purpose use—delivering new tyres and collecting casings for Stapleton’s tyre recycling programme. The non-standard body size allows for maximised load capacity, a critical factor for the company's operations.

Customer Loyalty and Service Excellence
Nick Cooper, Head of Group Vehicles at European Tyre Enterprises, Stapleton’s parent company, stated:

“When the time comes to order new trucks for our 7.5-tonne fleet, we survey the market to see what is available, but every time we come to the same conclusion – nothing beats what Isuzu has to offer. From the outstanding payload and superb reliability, right through to the customer support we receive, it’s an obvious choice.”

The trucks come with a six-year Full Repair and Maintenance contract and benefit from Isuzu Truck UK's Customer CARE programme. The vehicles are maintained by the nearest authorised dealers, ensuring high levels of service and convenience.

Lee Tansley, National Fleet Sales Manager at Isuzu Truck UK, emphasised the strong relationship between the two companies, stating:

“Working to optimise the body in order to maximise payload really shows how our 7.5-tonne chassis can fit particular customer needs, and of course, our unrivalled reliability keeps them coming back.”

Fleet Expansion and Future Use
The new Isuzu trucks will join Stapleton’s extensive fleet of over 1,300 vehicles, operating from 11 UK locations. Running six days a week, each truck is expected to cover around 400,000 miles over a six-year service life. This significant addition underscores Stapleton’s dedication to maintaining an efficient and environmentally responsible logistics operation.

Stapleton’s Tyre Services: An Industry Leader
With over 80 years of experience, Stapleton’s is a prominent supplier of tyres for passenger cars, 4x4s, and vans. Operating as a subsidiary of the Japanese Itochu Corporation since 1994, the company continues to set benchmarks in tyre distribution and recycling.
