ERANGE EV and 4ocean Tackle Plastic Waste with Every Tyre Sold.

ERANGE EV Tyres, developed by Sailun Tire and designed specifically for electric vehicles, has launched a sustainability initiative with ocean clean-up organisation 4ocean. Through the “Partnership with Purpose” campaign, the brand pledges to remove two pounds of ocean-bound plastic and debris for every ERANGE EV tyre sold in North America.

The collaboration aligns with growing consumer demand for environmentally responsible products, particularly in the electric vehicle (EV) market where tyre sustainability is increasingly under scrutiny.

Linking Tyre Performance with Environmental Responsibility

ERANGE EV Tyres utilise EcoPoint³ technology, a proprietary compound process focused on low rolling resistance, improved EV range, and reduced environmental impact. Key features include:

  • SilentTread™ Technology for noise reduction
  • Reinforced sidewalls for heavy EV battery loads
  • Extended tread life for long-term use

Now, each purchase of an ERANGE EV tyre will also directly support 4ocean’s global clean-up efforts. The Florida-based non-profit has already removed over 40 million pounds of waste from oceans and coastlines, employing full-time clean-up crews in the U.S., Guatemala, and Indonesia.

Ron Dolan, President of Sailun Tire Americas, said the campaign reflects the company’s broader environmental focus:

“Sustainability goes beyond the road—it’s about making a lasting impact.”

Sustainability meets consumer transparency: This campaign represents a growing trend in the tyre industry where sustainability isn't just about materials—it’s about accountable, trackable outcomes. Tying tyre sales directly to ocean clean-up creates a measurable environmental benefit, appealing to a new generation of eco-conscious drivers. This model could influence similar efforts in EV-specific, passenger, and even commercial tyre segments, where demand for responsible sourcing is accelerating.
