TÜV SÜD Validates Sailun Ice Blazer Alpine 2 in 12-Test Programme.

Independent testing by TÜV SÜD has confirmed the strong all-round performance of Sailun's Ice Blazer Alpine 2 winter tyre, with the 205/55 R16 94H XL size earning the organisation's seal of approval.

The Ice Blazer Alpine 2 was put through its paces across twelve disciplines by TÜV SÜD, going head-to-head with four competing winter tyres available on the European market. The comprehensive evaluation covered wet and dry safety, rolling resistance, and rolling noise characteristics.

According to the test results, the Sailun tyre demonstrated top-level performance in five key comparison categories: acceleration, braking, and handling on snow, plus braking on both wet and dry surfaces. The tyre's rolling noise was measured at 69 dB(A).

Advanced Winter Technology

As one of Sailun's latest winter tyre offerings, the Ice Blazer Alpine 2 has been engineered to meet the demands of drivers seeking dependable cold-weather performance. The tyre combines an innovative tread pattern with a high-silica winter rubber compound designed to maintain effectiveness even in low temperatures.

A key feature is the variably angled ice pick pattern at the centre of the tread, which delivers optimum traction on ice and snow. The design also incorporates numerous closely spaced transverse grooves within the main tread blocks, enabling them to interlock effectively with snow for superior control on snow-covered surfaces.

Wet Weather Capabilities

The directional HydraFlow V-shaped grooves play a crucial role in water dispersal, pointing towards the centre of the tread to optimally channel moisture away from the road surface. This design contributes to the tyre's strong wet grip performance.

The combination of narrow grooves and large rubber blocks provides excellent responsiveness across unpredictable winter conditions, whilst also delivering good aquaplaning resistance.

Efficiency and Longevity

Sailun has employed its latest wear-resistant rubber compound on the tread, featuring high elasticity to strike what the manufacturer describes as a "very good balance" between mileage and energy efficiency—important considerations for cost-conscious motorists during the winter months.

The TÜV SÜD seal of approval officially confirms the Ice Blazer Alpine 2's strong capabilities across wet and dry safety, rolling resistance, and rolling noise, positioning it as a competitive option in the winter tyre market.
