Prometeon Tyre Group has renewed its technical partnership with Martin Macík Jr., the reigning Dakar Rally truck category champion, extending their collaboration through 2028. The announcement comes alongside confirmation that Prometeon will officially participate in the 2026 Dakar Rally with Macík's MM Technology Team.
The partnership extension follows Macík's victory at the 2025 Dakar Rally, where the Czech driver secured the truck category title whilst running on Prometeon S02 Rally tyres. More than six MM Technology trucks will compete in next year's event equipped with Prometeon Serie 02 Rally tyres, including the team's factory truck, the MM Technology EVO4 "Joseph".
The collaboration represents a strategic commitment by Prometeon to test and develop its technologies in extreme competitive environments. The company, which specialises in commercial, agricultural and OTR tyres, views the Dakar Rally as an opportunity to refine products that will eventually benefit its professional fleet customers.
"From the very beginning of our collaboration with Prometeon, we knew this project would be successful," said Macík. "We share the same determination to push the limits and achieve outstanding results. This approach works both in rally racing and in the development of new tyres with Prometeon. I'm happy to extend the partnership until 2028 – there is still so much we can accomplish together."

The Prometeon S02 Rally tyre shares the technological foundation of the Serie 02 range but has been specifically adapted for rally competition. Key features include:
A tread pattern designed to handle variable terrains typical of rally racing, offering traction on gravel, mud and tarmac. The sidewalls have been reinforced to withstand lateral impacts, sharp rocks and abrasive surfaces encountered in rally environments.
The compound formulation ensures maximum traction across varying temperatures and surfaces, providing consistent grip and resilience essential for endurance competitions. The reinforced structure delivers stability at high speeds whilst resisting deformation during jumps and on uneven terrain.
The bead features specific construction to withstand extreme lateral forces and intense acceleration, ensuring secure wheel fitment and reducing the risk of bead slippage or deflation during aggressive driving.
The three-year agreement with Macík complements Prometeon's other motorsport partnerships, including its role as official tyre supplier to Copa Truck, Brazil's premier truck racing championship, where it supports driver Bia Figueiredo.
