Nexen Tire has announced a series of strategic appointments designed to bolster its European operations and enhance its market presence across the region.
The South Korean tyre manufacturer has named Stephen Park as Managing Director of Nexen Tire UK & Northern Europe. Drawing on his extensive experience in sales and market development, Mr Park will be responsible for expanding business opportunities and strengthening customer relationships across the UK, Ireland, and Nordic markets.
In a significant move to capitalise on growth opportunities in Eastern Europe, Nexen Tire has established a new branch office in Bucharest, Romania. Tim Inhoon Jung has been appointed Managing Director of Nexen Tire Romania, where he will lead efforts to build regional partnerships and accelerate business expansion in Romania and neighbouring markets. The new office reflects the company's recognition of Eastern Europe's increasing importance as a growth market for the tyre industry.
Additionally, Kwan-Hee Park has been appointed Team Leader of the EU Marketing Planning Team. In this role, Mr Park will oversee sales operations and pricing strategies to strengthen Nexen Tire's competitive positioning throughout the European region.
The appointments form part of Nexen Tire's broader strategy to enhance its global footprint whilst improving operational efficiency. The company emphasised that these changes demonstrate its commitment to agility, customer focus, and sustainable growth in key regional markets.
Nexen Tire's European expansion comes at a time when tyre manufacturers are increasingly focusing on regional market development to better serve local customers and respond more quickly to market dynamics. The establishment of the Romanian office, in particular, signals the company's intent to strengthen its presence in Eastern European markets, which have shown robust growth potential in recent years.
The new leadership team will be tasked with delivering greater value to customers whilst navigating the evolving challenges and opportunities within the European tyre market.
