Independent service provider New Bridgegate Tyres Ltd has launched a new flagship Autocare centre in Middlesbrough. Located on the Tees Advanced Manufacturing Park, the site expands the company’s North East footprint and enhances its support for private motorists and fleet operators, including light commercial vehicles.
The Middlesbrough centre is New Bridgegate Tyres’ fifth location, joining existing sites in Barnard Castle, Newton Aycliffe, Birtley and Newcastle. According to Director James Bowman, “We’re expanding our business into Middlesbrough, and this represents a significant, timely and natural step in our business growth plan, as we bring our trusted services to even more local customers.”
The company says the site will also act as a resource hub, enabling closer operational links between locations and enhancing coverage across the North East.

The expansion has created five new local jobs across management and technician roles. The Middlesbrough site also supports New Bridgegate Tyres’ 24-hour response vehicles, which provide roadside tyre fitting and maintenance for cars, trucks, buses, agricultural machinery and aviation equipment.
Guy Wilks, Director, commented: “This site positions us at the centre of a thriving industrial hub, in a location that is extremely accessible within the Tees Valley. It gives us the capacity to deliver even better fleet management and servicing capabilities, alongside our well-established retail offering. We’re confident it will become a trusted resource for customers and a valuable addition to our growing network.”
Located at 2 Wilfred Way, Tees AMP, the site welcomed its first customers on 15 August. Its positioning within Middlesbrough’s advanced manufacturing district offers proximity to major industrial clients, reinforcing New Bridgegate Tyres’ regional service strategy.
