Plato, Rowbottom and Kidd Return for Kwik Fit’s Cambrian Way Film.

Kwik Fit has launched the second instalment of its popular road trip documentary series, with The Scenic Route 2 taking viewers through the heart of Wales along the stunning Cambrian Way.

Following the success of last year's Scottish NC500 adventure, the new film reunites the presenter trio of British racing legend Jason Plato, current BTCC driver Daniel Rowbottom and television personality Jodie Kidd. For this Welsh expedition, they are joined by Sky Sports presenter and Radio X DJ Polly James, who brings her local knowledge to the journey.

The route begins in James's home city of Cardiff before following Wales's mountainous spine northward. The team traverse the Bannau Brycheiniog (Brecon Beacons) and Eryri (Snowdonia) National Parks, tackling the famous Black Mountain Pass along the way. Additional stops include the Italianate village of Portmeirion and Llanfair PG, home to the UK's longest place name, before concluding on the Isle of Anglesey.

For this outing, the presenters drive three new vehicles: an Audi RS4 Estate, a Porsche Cayenne GTS and an Abarth Spider. All three were equipped with Bridgestone tyres – Potenza Sport for the Audi and Porsche, and Turanza AllSeason 6 for the Abarth.

Beyond showcasing Wales's dramatic landscapes, the documentary is accompanied by supplementary content covering practical motoring topics. These videos address tyre safety advice, pre-journey vehicle checks and guidance on selecting appropriate tyres for different driving conditions.

The production particularly emphasises the importance of proper tyre specification for performance vehicles. With premium marques increasingly accessible in the used car market, Kwik Fit highlights that owners must not compromise on tyre quality, especially when tackling demanding routes like the Cambrian Way.

Danny Macro, head of digital marketing at Kwik Fit, commented: "We had a fantastic response to our first road trip film so the obvious choice was to ask the team to explore another of the UK's iconic routes. The Cambrian Way has not disappointed, the footage is absolutely stunning, the team bounce off each other brilliantly and we've also captured valuable insights from their motoring expertise. We can't wait to hear the reaction from viewers and even suggestions for where we could go next."

In addition to the main feature, Kwik Fit will release behind-the-scenes footage, outtakes and bloopers across its social media channels and website at kwik-fit.com.

The Bridgestone-supported production is now available to view free of charge on YouTube.
